Mission Statement: To reduce our school taxes by cutting expenses and finding alternatives to Dynegy's retroactive tax reduction.

FACTS
Danskammer:
500 MW facility with two units totaling 130 MW capable of burning natural gas or oil and two units totaling 370 MW capable of burning coal or natural gas.
Roseton:
1200 MW facility with two 600 MW units capable of burning natural gas or oil.
Dynegy's school tax burden is reduced from 51% to 36%.
School tax burden shifted to taxpayers should be 51% - 36% = 15%.
Dynegy's plant's market value reduced from $1.46 billion to $895 million (April 2008)
Tax overpayment to be reimbursed to Dynegy: $11 million
Town of Newburgh collects school taxes for Marlboro Central School District.
Town of Newburgh School Tax deadline: September.
Town of Newburgh School Tax penalty: October 2%
